We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior Social Worker to join our team.

In our units, you will encounter great commitment and a shared understanding of quality and legal security in child welfare work. Our Senior Social Workers have extensive experience, and we strive for a climate characterized by courage, respect, clarity, and helpfulness. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in our operations. You will be responsible for leading and coaching social workers in their daily work while ensuring legal security and high quality in case management. In this role, you will serve as an accessible support for investigative social workers and provide methodological guidance, both individually and in groups.

The role requires you to exercise careful and close leadership characterized by personal maturity and clarity, as well as contribute to an active employee engagement. You will lead a team of 4-6 caseworkers.

In addition to daily work, you will actively participate in organizational development through various working groups and specific assignments. You will stay updated on new research, legislation, and directives and be responsible for implementing them in daily operational work. We are currently focusing on implementing Signs of Safety and placing great emphasis on involving children and youth in our interactions, where you as a team leader will lead this work.

Together with the unit manager, you will follow up on the unit's goals and results and be a driving force in developing routines and processes that strengthen our operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You should also have many years of experience in public authority according to the Social Services Act and LVU concerning children and youth. Experience in leadership is considered a strong merit.

You have excellent knowledge of current legislation and case management of children, youth, and their families, as well as good knowledge and experience of BBIC, Signs of Safety, and Treserva or other documentation systems used within social services.

If you have a B driver's license, we consider it a merit.

As a person, you have a natural talent for leadership and collaboration. You are willing to take on a leadership role and take responsibility for making clear and thoughtful decisions, even in uncomfortable or challenging situations. You lead and distribute work with confidence and clarity, ensuring that the group has the right conditions to achieve its goals.

Your empathy and attentiveness make you skilled at understanding and meeting others' needs, feelings, and opinions. By being observant and receptive, you create a respectful, supportive, and caring work environment. You are pedagogical, communicative, and you motivate and support colleagues, even in times of adversity or worry.

In the role of Senior Social Worker, it is crucial that you are structured and solution-focused. You plan and organize work effectively to ensure that deadlines are met and results are followed up. You have a good ability to analyze complex issues, identify the core of problems, and propose concrete solutions. With your stability and focus, you handle pressured situations in a balanced manner.
